Aspiring Teen Model Set to Redefine Society's Standard of Beauty
Posted: May 28 2015 by Lookbook Store
Meet Madeline Stuart.
She's an 18-year-old aspiring model.
And she has Down Syndrome.
More than that, she's determined to redefine society's standard of beauty.
In a world where a lot of people think that having the perfect figure, height, skin, face or makeup is beautiful, Madeline is teaching us that beauty is not all about appearances. It's more than that.
And that's why she's fast becoming an inspiration to a lot of us women. Not only is she teaching us how to face adversity head strong and with grace, but she's also enlightening us with the importance of acceptance.
For her, "Modeling will help change [society's] view of people with Down Syndrome. Exposure will help create acceptance."
And true to her words, she's showing us that people with disabilities can do anything, can be empowering contributors to society. We just have to give them a chance.
So to Madeline, you go, girl!
And for the rest of us women, let's embrace who we are because no matter what race we belong to, what color our skin is or what our body shape looks like,
WE. ARE. ALL. BEAUTIFUL.
Enough said.
