Indian weddings are filled with rituals and celebrations which may continue for several days. They have pre-wedding and post-wedding rituals, which may also vary from region and preferences.
Before the wedding, the bride’s palms, wrists, arms, legs and feet are adorned with intricate henna patterns. The dowry, which is something that is given to the bridegroom's family, ranges from money or property, to help the newlyweds in their new life.
On the wedding day, the couple put on flower garlands around each other’s necks to symbolize that the bride has accepted the groom as her husband.

Wedding in Germany differ from region to region. One of their highlights is where the bride’s friends kidnap her and the groom has to find her. They also have an informal party the night before the big day where plates and dishes are smashed since they believe that broken pieces bring good luck to the bride.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds saw a log in half in front of all their guests to show that they can work together to face obstacles in their marriage. Isn’t that weird and sweet at the same time?
These are just some of the unusual ways people show their love to each other. No matter how different or out of this world they are, love is simply powerful enough to make two different people become one.
